Event Dates: September 13, 2013 - September 15, 2013
As its name implies, the American River Festival is all about the river. We also place a special emphasis on families having fun together on and around the river. There will be a number of vendors and activities appropriate for younger kids and families Enjoy a whitewater rodeo, wildwater and slalom races, and a raft race, all on the South Fork of the American River. The South Fork is located in California's Sierra Nevada foothills, about halfway between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe.
The South Fork of the American River and the Coloma-Lotus Valley are located approximately 50 miles east of Sacramento and 62 miles west of Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California.
Many events are planned for this three day festival, check website for times and cost per event . Most range between $10.00-$15.00 per event.
