A parade, old car exhibition, live music, bounce house, vendors, food & refreshmens, 'Wild West' shoot-outs, and goods overflowing onto the side walks throughout Downtown Historic Main S., along with the truly unique Coyote Howling Contest, make this a great day in Historic Coulterville... the gold rush town that didn't dry up and blow away! Come on out and exercise your vocal cords and give it a try...no experience required! This annual - now reimagined event - now will take place in late September.
The parade starts at 10 am. Competition in the Howling Contest, with categories of Adult, Child, Adult Coyote Pak and 'Pup-Pak' will begin at noon and continue thorough-out the afternoon.
There is free admission to activities in the Coulterville Park.. No cover charge to listen to great music all day long. You can bring a picnic basket or munch on food and refreshment from one of the reasonably priced vendors or mosey on over to one of the towns three restaurants: The Coulter Cafe, Mary Lou's Cup of Brew and the Magnolia Saloon
Cost of participation in the various events is minimal. Howling Contest entry fee, for any of the four categories, adult, pup, and adult & pup-paks (2 or more) is just $5. Entries accepted in the park until shortly before start of each category's competition time. Registration for the parade is only $10 (for a group of 1 or 100), for the Car Show, including the parade $20; a 10' by 10' space is just $20, sponsorships begin at just $75. No charge to cars participating, each merchant will sponsor one or 2, so contact a local merchant and reserve your parking place in the heart of town.

Pets are welcome on leashes at the event.
