The Bass Lake Store is a great resource for planning your vacation at Bass Lake and the surrounding area. The store is located inside the Bass Lake campground registration office, across the road from Recreation Point on Bass Lake in the Sierra National Forest. It's a great place to browse camp items and hear what's happening around the lake. You'll find unique books, lots of children's items and activities, and apparel for both young and old. The store is also a great resource for visitor information and has maps, brochures, dining and camping information.

You'll find special event news including the Nature Interpretation lectures by local naturalists, and information about local trails. In fact, a good family loop walk is the Way-of-the-Mono Trail which includes interpretation signs along the way. Goat Mountain and Spring Cove trails to the lookout tower is a steep climb out of the campground, but the view at the summit makes it worthwhile. Local things to do and explore right at Bass Lake include Farmers Markets, Arts & Crafts Fair, CIE Wake Board Championship, Classic V Drive Boat Show, Annual Light Up the Sky fireworks show, Smokey the Bear Run, and the Bass Lake Fishing Derby held in the spring.
