Bishop City Park

Bishop City Park is in the heart of downtown Bishop. The park includes walking paths, picnic benches, large parking area suitable for RV's, clean restrooms, a pond, a stream, tennis courts, volleyball area, a large and small playground, a skate/bike park, a picnic structure that can be reserved, BBQ s, drinking fountains, two gazebos, baseball and soccer fields, and a seasonal swimming pool with a changing room and showers, a lifeguard station to keep your valuables safe, a diving board, a giant slide, kiddie pool, shaded seating, and a lawn area to relax. In the summer the park is also home to an organic farmers market held Saturday mornings and is host to Bishop's Community Band playing every Monday night beginning at 7PM. Craft Fairs are held twice a year during Mule Days (Memorial Day weekend) and The Tri-County Fair weekend (Labor Day). Other celebrations include, Santa in the park, ice cream socials, Earth Day events and more. It's a beautiful place to stop and enjoy the view!

Getting Here and Getting Around

The park entrance is on Park Street across from the famous Schat's Bakery and next to Bishop's Chamber of Commerce. The park also has several pedestrian entrances off Main Street's sidewalk.
