Event Dates: May 22, 2012 - May 27, 2012
Every year since 1969 during the week prior to Memorial Day, the town of Bishop comes alive with its annual six day presentation of Mule Days.
What began as an informal gathering and a test of skills of the outfitters and packers of the region, has grown into a fun-filled world-class event. Mule Days is part mule show, part test of skills, and part Wild West show. Yeehaw!
Nowhere else in the world is there an event like Mule Days. During the annual six day event, attendees will see more mules than they ever imagined with 181 shows featuring over 700 mules with their trainers, riders, and packers. The competitors, aka hardcore aficionados, are determined to prove "anything a horse can do, a mule can do better." Mule events include English jumping, dressage, team roping, steer roping and penning, western riding, and racing, to name just a few.
Besides horsing around at the mule events, the Celebration includes the Thursday night concert featuring Country Music stars, the longest running non-motorized parade on Saturday morning, and the Packer's Scramble – the wildest, noisiest and funniest event of the weekend as well as chariot racing and musical tires. Barbecues, country dances and an arts & crafts show also take place at the foot of the beautiful Eastern Sierra at the Tri-County Fairgrounds in Bishop, California.
Bishop Mule Days is a major event for the Sierra Nevada, and is the premier mule show in the United States. Close to 700 volunteers give life to the celebration every year that attracts approximately 25,000 attendees from all over the United States and many foreign lands. Mule Days also generates millions of dollars for the Bishop community and our supporters.

Ages Festival is Appropriate For: 5 years and older will love this event!
ADA accessible seating is available, as well as ADA access to all buildings.
