Description of Event

The celebrations kick off at 10 a.m. Friday with the annual parade with this year’s theme, "Honoring Our Cultures and Traditions". The fun continues all weekend long with games, music and food. There will also be Princess contests, hand game tournaments, hand drum and clapper contests and two special contests, the Men’s Duck and Dive, winner take all, and traditional Paiute women’s “Old Style” dress and dance. All in all, there will be more than $45,000 in dance contest payouts.

There will be arts and crafts, a free barbecue on Friday as well as the crowning of Miss Bishop Paiute Tribe. The Paiute Palace Casino, which is hosting the events on its new pow wow grounds, is also offering free dry camping.
