The Borges Sleigh and Carriage Rides, a family owned and operated business, has been at the same location in South Lake Tahoe for over 42 years. Over the years, other locations have been used such as Resort at Squaw Creek and Northstar-at-Tahoe.
Our 1 hour or 30 minute narrated sleigh ride travels along the Pony Express Trail then over the meadow and though the woods...to a spectacular view of Lake Tahoe. A picnic area, snow play area and pony rides are some of the additional activities. Hot drinks and souvenirs are also available.
Beautiful Belgium draft horses pull the handmade sleighs and carriages all season, weather and road conditions permitting. Private pony rides for children under 10 years old are available on our mini horses, Gizmo and Gadget.
Our sleighs and carriages offer a private ride with lunch and dinner specials available, and are a great family activity, or a special romantic experience for couples. Packed full of fun, it's a perfect vacation treat for all ages.
Winter: - Sleigh rides and snow playing. Dinner rides are also available.
Summer - Carriage rides. Dinner rides are also available.
