Bridgeport Founder's Day

The Annual Bridgeport Founder's Day celebration occurs the Saturday before Labor Day each year. The event honors the pioneer spirit that founded the Bridgeport Valley in the late 1850s.

This special day features: -A live branding event at the Centennial Ranch rodeo arena -Hay wagon rides at the Bridgeport Ranch Barns and Terrace. -Activities on the historic Bridgeport courthouse lawn -Live Bluegrass Music -Historic walking tours of downtown Bridgeport -Meet Smokey the Bear -Gold panning demonstrations -Old time photography portraits -Indian Taco Stand -A live historical melodrama about pioneer life

The day ends with a dinner and historical presentations by Bodie State Historic Park interpreters.
