The Butterfly Cafe is conveniently located in the heart of historic downtown Mariposa. The Cafe is a favorite among locals who are familiar with dining on the Cafe's famous garden patio, where Candle lit evenings under the stars are the usual order of the day. The Cafe has also built a reputation for quality and freshness by featuring fresh seafood and by using 100% certified Angus cuts of beef in its menu selections.

Eco-Friendly NotesThe Cafe is located in an historical building built in the 1930's. The cafe features daily humming bird shows as the patio is often visited by as many as 20 humming birds at the same time. The Cafe also features a nightly Bat show on the patio as every evening hundreds of bats leave the roost at once for their nightly feed of insects. The Cafe is also a well known paranormal hot spot and is currently under investigation by two separate paranormal society's,- the Porterville ca, Ghost society and the P.O.S.T paranormal society.

Ms Tommie Hendricks wrote on November 15, 2011: In May 2011 four of us enjoyed an awesome breakfast on the patio. The owner treated us to a complimentary bread pudding with a whiskey sauce that was the best I’ve ever had. This a great place to eat and enjoy the hummingbirds at the same time.
