Cafe Charlotte

Café Charlotte, the historic Hotel Charlotte’s restaurant, is located in the center of the authentic Gold Rush era town of Groveland near Yosemite National Park. The Café enjoys a popular reputation for good food, served in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Casual attire is highly recommended, though the occasional top hat and tails is not unheard of.
Owner/Chef Victor Niebylski serves up an array of truly superb steaks, delicious pastas, many chicken favorites, plus unique daily specials. His specialty desserts truly showcase his culinary experience and creativity. In addition to his popular basics, Chef Victor offers an ever-changing menu, with selections for kids, vegetarians, and vegans. House specialties include steamed clams and mussels, homemade soups, slow cooked lamb shank, calamari, and fresh fish, among others, plus a variety of salads. He often incorporates locally grown fruits and vegetables (lemons, mushrooms, spices) in his dishes, to ensure the freshest, tastiest flavors.
Each January, Chef Victor and his wife, Lynn, co-owners of Hotel and Cafe Charlotte, travel to a new corner of the globe, where Victor attends specialty cooking schools, in order to bring unique, new tastes back to Cafe Charlotte. Building upon previous years of experience creating dishes in his family’s restaurants in Las Vegas, and around San Francisco, Chef Victor has made Cafe Charlotte a cornerstone of the Groveland/Yosemite area.
Cafe Charlotte offers a full bar, as well as an extensive wine list, which features local wines from the Sierra foothills, and around California. A daily wine tasting menu spotlights these wines.
Hotel & Café Charlotte hosts a number of unique dinners during the year, including its Quaffing the Coastal Counties of California, a series of sommelier hosted wine dinners over the winter months, and the Cabaret Charlotte Dinner Theatre. It also provides catering for private events, such as receptions, weddings, reunions, and anniversaries. The Café's Murder Mysteries and themed parties from the Toga-Italian dinners to the Cowboy BBQ's, provide guests with both dining and entertainment.
