Camp Kernville

Camp Kernville is centrally located in the historic town of Kernville in the southern Sierra Nevada on ten acres along the Kern River. It's a short walk to the shops and restaurants in our small little town. Camp Kernville boasts 1,000 ft private shoreline along the famous river just below Ewing's rapid and guests may use our shores as a take-out point for rafts and kayaks. And if you're an angler you'll be happy to know that Fish and Game stock the river weekly from our private shoreline, making Camp Kernville a prime location to fish.

Our location in Kernville is ideal for those who would like to explore the greater Kern River Valley area.  Nearby is Lake Isabella, a great location for boating, jet skis, water skiing, windsurfing, and other water sports.  There are also many biking, hiking and OHV trails in the area that are perfect for day trips during your stay.

Camp Kernville accepts reservations year round.  The park offers all modern amenities, including 30/50 amp service, fire pit and picnic table at each site, community restrooms and showers, laundry facilities, dump station, enclosed pet exercise area, beach showers, fish cleaning station, and an air compressor station.

Locally or Family Owned Business Notes

Welcome to Camp Kernville!  We are an locally owned RV Park/campground located in the heart of pristine downtown Kernville.  Our park has been in operation since the early 1960’s.  Kernville has a reputation of being a quaint, adventurous, and sleepy town - an eclectic mix which provides our customers the opportunity to indulge in everything from rafting to reading along the riverbank.  In keeping with the tradition of our town, we aim to offer our customers a family friendly vacation away from hussle and bussle of the city.  We look forward to being a part of your family tradition!

Pet Friendly Notes

Yes! 2 dogs per site (excluding Akita, Doberman, Rottweiler, ChowChow, Pit Bull Terrier, and any version thereof).

The cats out of the bag! I love this place and so does all my family.
