Cantiga Wineworks

We are a small, family-operated winery based in the Sierra Foothills of California. We are committed to recapturing the art of making wine that benefits from long periods of cellaring, and to crafting a food-friendly style, thus reclaiming wine’s rightful place on the dinner table. Our wines are produced using traditional methods seldom seen today.
The Cantiga winemaking tradition, passed from the Rorden family, yields wines of exceptional character that are refreshingly different. Although modern enology has developed numerous methods for manipulating wine and achieving consistency, we have opted for minimal intervention, and also exercise discretion in the use of malolactic fermentation. We select high quality grapes from regions we feel they grow best, and then keep a gentle touch as winemakers to let the grapes – and the uniqueness of the vintage – speak for themselves.
