Cellar Door Restaurant

The Cellar Door Restaurant in Groveland, California is a fine dining restaurant, yet casual enough for families.

Chef Michael carefully selects his food from local farmers/producers during growing season and seeks out the most environmentally friendly and organically sound items in the market place. The seafood he serves was probably swimming the day before.

The restaurant is housed downstairs in an 1849 Adobe Building, with walls 2 feet thick. An upstairs banquet room can accommodate up to 25 guests.

The all natural wine cellar is located in the basement with rock walls laid in by the Chinese in 1849. This facility maintains a temperature with very little fluctuation, to maintain the quality of the wines. We have verticals of Caymus, Caymus Special Selection, Opus One, Justin Isoceles, Kenwood Jack London, Chateau Montelena, Silver Oak, , etc.

The accompanying saloon provides a full line of beer - local, tap and bottles, a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence Wine List with almost 600 labels and a great selection of your favorite distilled beverages. We also offer wine flights that can be paired with chocolate or our extensive list of gourmet cheeses.

Warm weather brings the opening of our garden courtyard dining facility. This is a casual, yet highly rated dining venue, with lighted umbrellas, lush blooming gardens, a private gazebo (by reservation), and an outdoor cocktail area.
