Coltiva Guest Cottage

One of the most enchanting pieces of Coulterville history, this guest cottage sits on the original ranch that was owned by Mr. Coulter himself. He built the main house at the request of his wife in 1857, then sold the ranch to Giacomo and Maria Gazzolo in 1869. The Gazzolos owned a restaurant, saloon, dance hall and livery in town, and started the first stage line to Merced. On the ranch they raised olives, vegetables, livestock...and seven children! After Giacomo and Maria passed away, their daughter Leonora made some improvements to the property and added the guest cottage. By the time it was sold in 2002, the Gazzolo family had owned the ranch for 133 years, and left a legacy of success and longevity for us to explore!
We offer a private, detached guest cottage with living room, bedroom, full bath, full kitchen and large deck.
