Creekside Yarns

Manos "Mesa Vest" in progress

Come knit and crochet with us!  We are the only specialty yarn shop in Tulare County with a fabulous variety of yarns in all price ranges. The varying palette of yarns we keep in stock reflect the seasonal colors of the Sierra Nevada from winter's white to spring's pastel flowers, and summer's bright reds to autumn's mellow oranges and browns.  You are welcome to join us at our big knitting table to discuss your projects and get assistance from our experienced staff.  Or, you can simply sit and chat with others who share your passion for yarn, and enjoy our "table goodies" of chocolate and cookies.

"I have owned Creekside Yarns for over five years.  The shop is very spacious, but it is easy to find the yarn you desire because it is arranged on the shelves by color.  I have a huge inventory of high-quality, name brand yarns.  I also take pride in carrying yarn from small business owners who raise the animals, shear them, hand spin the fibers and dye the yarn themselves." says Charlotte Little, owner.

Three Rivers has a long history as a locale for artists of every stripe.  Creekside Yarns continues the tradition as a gathering place for women who knit, crochet, hand spin and weave.  We provide a welcoming spot to congregate for these creative fiber artisans.

In addition to the yarns, we have a lending library in a cozy nook of the shop where you can sit and review books, magazines and patterns.  We also have a quiet window seat for you to just sit, take in the sun, and relax.

PRODUCTS AVAILABLE:

We sell many national brands of yarns including Art Yarn, Brown Sheep, Frog Tree, Lang, Nashua, Noro, Plymouth, and Rowan.  We also sell yarn from smaller dealers such as Anzula, Pagewood Farm, and Surreal Dream.  Our yarns are composed of a wide variety of fibers which include alpaca, angora, bamboo, bison, cashmere, cotton, hemp, linen, silk, soy bean, sugar cane, and of course, wool of every variety.  These fibers are available in any blend you can imagine!

The shop has a vast collection of magazines, knitting needles, crochet hooks and notions for sale.  We stock a complete section of Addi Turbo needles by Skacel, along with Hiya Hiya and Clover needles, hooks and notions.  Our pattern selections, also for sale, support the yarns we carry.

We display and sell on consignment locally handmade, knitted and crocheted items such as hats, sweaters, scarves, and handbags.  We also knit garments made to your order.

Shirley Keller wrote on March 22, 2011: I’ve always crocheted, but when I discovered that the folks at Creekside Yarns were generous with their experience, I decided to learn to knit. Sitting at the big table, knitting in hand, one learns new tips. A very friendly and fun place.

Jana Botkin wrote on March 10, 2011: In my 6 years of knitting I have visited many yarn shops. I can confidently say that Creekside Yarns has the best inventory by far! It is also the roomiest, most helpful and the friendliest. Three Rivers is truly blessed to have this treasure!

Kathleen McCleary wrote on March 02, 2011: I love coming into this shop where folks come from near and far to find beautiful yarns and supplies, and sit down to knit and visit together, solving any number of important questions.
