Edison Theatre at Mammoth Lakes

The Edison Theatre is located inside the headquarters of Mammoth Lakes Foundation, an organization which began 23 years ago by a handful of local folks, spearheaded by Dave McCoy.  The Foundation is dedicated to higher education and cultural enrichment in the Eastern Sierra.  Shira Dubrovner is the Artistic Director who, working with a group of dedicated theatre lovers, puts together the annual performances featuring local actors from the Sierra Nevada.

The Mammoth Lakes Foundation was founded in 1989 by Dave McCoy who created the Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort.  The Foundation benefits the lives of students, locals and visitors as the sole non-profit organization supporting higher education and cultural enrichment in the Eastern Sierra.  The Foundation is an advocate for education, land acquisition and facility development; and owns and operates the Edison Theatre and South Gateway Student Apartments.  The Foundation has provided over 400 college scholarships to local students since 1990. Future plans include a combination culinary school, art and cultural center on the Mammoth college campus.
