Fall Play Day at the Heart K Ranch

Description of Event

The 900- acre Heart K Ranch, recently conserved by the Feather River Land Trust, is a Sierra Nevada treasure, boasting scenic mountain beauty and a rich historical and cultural past.  The Fall Play Day will provide the opportunity for you to get to know this lovely landscape and to meet like-minded people. The day will be full of activities that will fit a variety of interests including a walking tour, volunteer activities, a BBQ, and fun lawn games.

The walking tour from 10 a.m. to noon will highlight sustainable agricultural activities, restoration projects and innovative inclusion of Native American land use techniques.  Volunteer opportunities (9-1) include restoration projects, forest clean up and more. The BBQ (1 p.m.to 2 p.m.), social time and lawn games will be from 1p.m. to 4 p.m.

Silent auction items.

The event is free but the BBQ is $10 and kids 10 or under are free. Bring chairs or blankets for sitting. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Please RSVP but  pay at the event with cash or checks.

Fall is a beautiful time of year to visit this somewhat unexplored part of the Sierra Nevada in northeastern California. See you there.

Ages Festival is Appropriate For: All ages.

The walking tour will be on fairly flat ground but not paved. The bathrooms will be ADA portapotties.
