It definitely feels like summer when farmers arrive every Tuesday and Friday at the South Lake Tahoe Farmers' Market with a variety of freshly harvested gifts from the earth. You'll find fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers in abundance. Agricultural products such as honey, jams, jellies, preserves, and baked goods are featured as well as nursery stock and natural fibers.

Tuesday's Market at the American Legion on Lake Tahoe Boulevard provides your weekday produce, and then come back on Friday for the market on historic Ski Run Boulevard to replenish your refrigerator with fresh products for weekend meals and entertaining.

In addition to nature's bounty, both South Lake Tahoe Farmers' Markets feature art and products made by residents of the local community.

Local Tips: Ask Kailey with Z and B Ranch for a zuchini grill recipe with olive oil and cheese which is fast and delicious. Beal's Orchard has "elephant ear" plums during certiain times of year which are dark and tart, and great with ice cream.

Hours Open: 8am - 1pm Tuesdays at the American Legion, and Fridays on Ski Run Blvd.

Seasons Open: June through mid-October

Locally or Family Owned Business Notes

Communities all over the world are rediscovering the benefits of buying local food. It is the freshest produce available, sometimes picked the very same day you purchase. Produce is naturally and perfectly ripened, making it tastier and more nutritious than mass produced products. Buying locally also benefits your local economy--buying directly from family farmers keeps your neighbors in business.

 ADA Accessibility Notes
Accessible - crowds and parking sometimes challenging.

 Eco-Friendly Notes

Buy produce locally and reduce your carbon footprint. Transporting produce is a major cause of CO2 emissions. Eating a completely locally produced meal once a week will save 2,200 kg CO2 annually.
