The Fox Barrel Cider Company is a locally owned hard cider processing and working cider plant with a free tasting room. Owners Bruce and Carrie Nisson have won national awards with top honors for their three distinctive flavors of hard cider; apple, pear, and currant. They recently won special recognition from the Placer County Economic Development for creating a successful business using local produce that attracts visitors to the foothills of Colfax.
The award-winning ciders are hand crafted from freshly pressed apple juice in California’s Sierra Foothills. Each batch of cider is hand blended, ensuring the highest quality product that bridges the gap between craft beer and fine wine. The 100% natural ciders are gluten free with no artificial colors or flavors.
Fox Barrel Cider Company is located right off Highway 80 in Colfax, exit 135.
Hours Open: Noon to 5pm daily.
Seasons Open: Year Round
