The Giant Sequoia Mercantile is located at the western gateway to the Giant Sequoia National Monument and Sequoia National Forest in the historic foothill town of Springville. The shop, which is located in the old Elster Building near the center of Springville, offers a complete line of gifts and local craft items that celebrate the Giant Sequoias.  The store also offers a unique selection of local arts and crafts.

Featured local artists include Steve Ball (Mono prints), Gregory Stewart (paintings and statuary), Nancy Pengilly (photography), Francis Pyles (watercolors and glass art),  Ron Zanini (custom wooden boxes), John Sanford (local scenes), Don Ray (photography), Kelly Mo (natural art), and others.

Camping equipment, unique books and maps, are also available at the store - supplementing the additional offerings of the Springville Visitor's Center.

The Springville Visitor's Center - a program of the Springville Chamber of Commerce -  offers a wide variety of information including maps, brochures, dining and lodging guides, and special event news for visitors to the Springville area and the southern Sierra Nevada.  Local areas of interest include Balc Park, Mountain Home State Forest, and the Giant Sequoia National Monument.  The Visitor's Center also serves as the hub of information for two annual special events in town - the Springville Rodeo and the Springville Apple Festival.

The Giant Sequoia Mercantile and the Springville Visitor's Center are the best place to begin your short drive up the Western Divide Highway (Highway 190) to visit the Trail of 100 Giants and the Giant Sequoias.

The Giant Sequoia Mercantile/Springville Visitor's Center is located at 35627 Highway 190 in Springville.  The phone number is 559-539-3004.  Plan on stopping by the visitor center on your way to the southern Sierra Nevada.

Seasons Open: Open year-round. Reduced hours during the winter.
