Gold Country Artists Gallery

Gold Country Artists Gallery was founded by a small group of local artists in 1992. Several of the founding and very early artists are current members and continue to display their work at the Gallery. Membership has grown through the years to over 45 award-winning artists. The Gallery is Placerville’s longest operating and only cooperative art gallery, and it displays and sells locally inspired and created artworks.
Gold Country Artists Gallery is the longest continuously operating gallery in Placerville. In addition, the building in which the Gallery is housed was originally constructed of brick in 1855 and contained different businesses up through 1996 when Gold Country Artists Gallery became the latest tenant. There are sheets in the Gallery detailing its history and there is actually a walking tour inside the Gallery.
