Half Dome Village Restaurants

Half Dome Village, formerly known as Camp Curry, was founded in 1899 by David and Jenny Curry, two schoolteachers from Indiana. The pair dreamed of visiting Yosemite National Park, but found that they could not afford the coach fare into the Park and still pay the going rate for park lodging at $4 per night.  This led to the establishment of Half Dome Village - offering affordable room and board within Yosemite.

Half Dome Village continues the tradition of providing affordable, family-friendly dining to this day. With five unique outlets, from buffets to fresh-baked pizza, Half Dome Village is a great location for families or couples who may not always crave the same type of food.

The Half Dome Village Pavilion offers a scrumptious all-you-can-eat breakfast and dinner buffet with country cooking from “Mother Curry’s Kitchen.” Enjoy a full salad bar, build-your-own-taco stations, Italian pastas, chicken strips, mashed potatoes, a large selection of desserts and much more. The menu changes daily.  Beer and wine are available for an additional charge.

Just inside the Pavilion entrance, the Coffee Corner serves pastries and build-your-own oatmeal as well as Peet’s coffee, cappuccino, and espresso.

Next door to the pavilion is the Pizza Deck and Bar. Fresh-baked pizza, salads and cold frosty beverages are all served on a deck in the heart of Half Dome Village. With outdoor views of Glacier Point and Royal Arches, this is a perennial favorite place to rest and refuel after a fun day in the Park. Located on the Pizza Deck, the bar offers full cocktail service, including fantastic signature strawberry margaritas. It’s a great place to unwind after a long hike.

At Half Dome Village’s Meadow Grill, you can enjoy an excellent array of grilled foods, including cheeseburgers and chicken sandwiches, as well as veggie or salmon burgers.  We also feature sustainable items such as grass-fed beef and free-range chicken.

Half Dome Village restaurants' hours vary seasonally, so please check the current Yosemite Guide for the most up to date information.

Eco-Friendly Notes

In Yosemite, our restaurants not only offer delicious fare, but by offering local, organic, sustainable food throughout the Park, we are also doing the right thing for the environment. We've worked hard to establish partnerships with local farmers and businesses to bring you the freshest, most environmentally-friendly food that we can - and we think our great, farm-fresh flavors show in every dish we serve.

Pet Friendly Notes

All lodging and restaurants within Yosemite National Park do not allow pets. In Yosemite, pets are allowed on fully paved trails and roads, on a leash six feet or shorter, and cannot be left unattended.
