Mid-Summer Madness

Mid Summer Madness

Event Dates: July 28, 2012

Description of Event

Mid-Summer Madness is an annual summer event in Lake Almanor featuring local restaurants, wineries, and breweries from the surrounding Sierra Nevada region. Mid-Summer Madness hosts a night of strolling on the lawn and tasting California, international and local wines including a selection from Lassen Peak Winery, and microbrews from Sierra Nevada Brewing Company. In addition to the libations, revelers can taste tantalizing tid-bits from Cakes Unleashed, Bonta St. Bistro and the Mt. Tomba Inn to name a few, and California olives and olive oils from Corto Olive Oil and Pacific Sun Olive Oil.

The night's activities also include bidding on fabulous Silent Auction items, shopping the booths of celebrated local artisans including potter Jacquie Cordova and sculptor Ron McBride, and then dancing the night away under the stars at the beautiful Foxwood Park in Chester, on the northwest shore of Lake Almanor.

Best of all, proceeds from Mid-Summer Madness go to the nonprofit Rotary Club of Chester to fund ongoing local community projects throughout Plumas County. I'll drink to that!

Admission Fee (if any): Tickets are $40 per person. Must be 21+
