Moccasin Point Recreation Area

Over two miles of Don Pedro Lake shoreline are readily accessible from the developed roads, parking lots and campsites of the Moccasin Point Recreation Area. Enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, camping, bird watching, kayaking, canoeing, waterskiing and wakeboarding. Boat rentals, fishing tackle, food and supplies are available at the Moccasin Point Marina which is located within this Recreation Area. Moccasin Point has a four lane launch ramp with two courtesy docks to facilitate boat launch and retrieval. An auxiliary public dock available for fishing and swimming is moored adjacent to a public parking area just west of the launch ramp. A day use picnic area is located next to the launch ramp.

Fishing and swimming are not permitted from the launch ramp courtesy docks or from the Moccasin Point Marina. C, D and E campgrounds are closed September though May. Use of Recreation Area is subject to all applicable laws.

Directions for Access and Parking

Follow Hwy. 120 east towards Yosemite National Park, turn left on Stent Jacksonville Rd, then turn right into Moccasin Point Recreation Area. Turn left past entrance station for Marina and auxiliary public dock access. Continue on main campground road to reach campgrounds and launch ramp.

$7.00 per day vehicle use fee and $7.00 per day motorized vessel use fee required upon entering Moccasin Point Recreation Area. No fee required to launch non-motorized vessels except for sailboats exceeding 8 feet in length. See website for camping information and fees.
