Mountain Sage Nursery and Gardens

Mountain Sage

Photo © Regina Hirsch

Mountain Sage’s nursery and in ground demonstration gardens highlight deer resistant and drought tolerant plants, with a great selection of natives, hummingbird favorites, Japanese maples and bedding plants. Located on the grounds of the historic 1860’s Laveroni House in Groveland, California, the nursery is immersed in Sierra Foothill nostalgia. Here you can take a bunch of grapes from the 100 year old vines and relax in the hammock garden with a cup of organic tea from the Mountain Sage Coffeehouse. During the summer months, Mountain Sage hosts a farmers market, which includes locally grown produce and crafts. Additionally, there are numerous concerts, festivals and events taking place in the gardens. Time your visit carefully to enjoy a nationally touring band playing at our venue or join us for Sierra Earthfest in the spring.
