Less than a minute from busy Interstate 80, Newcastle Produce is tucked into the historic fruit sheds of sleepy downtown Newcastle, once the stone fruit shipping capital of the world.

Newcastle Produce is a favorite stopping place for locals, cyclists and travelers. The owner's own Twin Brooks Farm, as well as other local farms, supplies the market with fresh, local produce year round, including the famous Placer County Mountain Mandarins which are available November though January.

This dizzying array of foothill bounty shares space with gourmet food products, most sourced locally, including oodles of olive oils, sassy sauces and jams, a large collection of foothill wines, artisan cheese, divine chocolates, local free range eggs, local grass fed meats, local freshly baked breads, dried fruits and nuts.

The Newcastle Produce kitchen staff prepares a variety of deli items daily including soups, sandwiches, salads, desserts, and more, all prepared in-house and featuring local produce. The kitchen also produces its own line of preserves made from local fruits and vegetables including their popular Mandarin Marmalade.

Newcastle Produce is open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, Saturday 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday 10 am to 5 pm.
