Picnic Areas at Yosemite National Park

Pack a lunch and visit the Picnic/Day Use Areas in the Park! With your lunches packed and plenty of water on board, pedal along the 12 miles of paved trails and take a lunch break at one of the beautiful Picnic/Day Use Areas in the Park:

> El Capitan Picnic Area (El Capitan Shuttle stop E3)

> Cathedral Beach (Short walk from El Capitan Shuttle stop E4)

> Sentinel Beach (Short walk from El Capitan Shuttle stop E5)

> Swinging Bridge (Short walk from El Capitan Shuttle stop E5)

> Church Bowl Picnic Area (no bathrooms; short walk from Valley Shuttle stop #3)

> Lower Yosemite Fall Picnic Area (Valley Shuttle stop #6)

Unless noted, all Day Use Areas have vault toilets, picnic tables, garbage and recycling bins. All areas listed except Church Bowl and Lower Yosemite Fall have grills. None of these areas have potable water. Picnic areas are available throughout Yosemite on a first-come, first-served basis (reservations are not available) from dawn to dusk.
