Placerville Farmers' Market

Placerville Farmer's Market
Historic Main St.

No longer a "local's secret," the Placerville Farmers' Market located in the foothills of El Dorado County offers a bounty of diverse regional and organic produce, locally made products by resident artisans, baked goods, award-winning wines and local art that defines this historic gold mining town.

Sponsored by the El Dorado County Farm Trails, the Placerville Farmers' Market is committed to giving the local farmer an outlet to sell their produce and to interact with the community. Sample the mouth watering variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, regional honey, fine preserves, quality meats, herbs, and stone fruits, while you engage with the local farmers and artisans who craft beeswax candles, hand carved spoons, sculptures, and artwork.

Local Tip: Sacred Paths Farm specializes in fresh and dried herbs, and always features a variety of delicate lettuce to dress up your salad.

Communities all over the world are rediscovering the benefits of buying local food. It is the freshest produce available, often picked the very same day you purchase. Produce is naturally and perfectly ripened, making it tastier and more nutritious than mass produced products. Buying locally also builds strong local economies. Buying directly from family farmers keeps your neighbors in business.

Join the world at our local tradition. Visit the Placerville Farmers' Market on Wednesdays from 5pm to Dusk in downtown Placerville around the Bell Tower at 385 Main Street.

Hours Open: Wednesdays, mid-June through early October, 5pm to Dusk

Seasons Open: Summer and Fall

Dates for this Market: May 14, 2011 - October 22, 2011
