Red's Meadow Pack Station

Located just outside Mammoth Lakes, California at the edge of some of the most incredible back-country you can ever hope to see, Bob Tanner's packers will take you on a wilderness adventure you'll never forget. From spot trips to full service, 3 days to a week or more, Tanner's horses and mules will take you where you want to go.

Note: Operating under permit with the Inyo National Forest.

The narrow road into the Reds Meadow area is the only access point to the San Joaquin River Valley, the Devils Postpile National Monument, Rainbow Falls, and five trailheads leading into the John Muir and Ansel Adams Wilderness Areas. Visitors must take a shuttle from the Forest Service Adventure Center at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area Gondola Building. Exceptions are overnight campers, and overnight resort guests and visitor vehicles with disabled placards.
