Roaring Camp Mining Company

An old 49er gold mining camp which is still being mined today, located at Clinton Bar in the Mokelumne River Canyon, Pine Grove, Ca.

The beauty of the area defies description. One traveler who came this way wrote of looking into the canyon in the Volcano Ledger (Newspaper) in 1855, "the most beautiful landscape ever witnessed was there spread out to our enraptured view. Who could look upon that scene and not be reminded of Nature's God?"

About this Establishment

We offer daily guided Gold Mine Tours where our guides take you into the beautiful Mokelumne River Canyon. You will see our Placer Gold Mine Operation, visit our Wildlife and Mining Artifacts Museum, see ruins of the past, pan for gold, collect rocks, and enjoy river swimming in nature's most beautiful swimming hole.

Cabins and camping are offered by the week. These sites include a picnic table and fire ring right by the river, mining instructions classes, our Saturday Night cook-out, fishing, swimming, hiking, gold mining, etc.

All this plus the best gold mining in the Mother Lode. www.roaringcampgold.com
