Savour the Sierra

Event Dates: September 08, 2012
The Bishop Union High School Foundation in cooperation with the Master Gardners of Inyo and Mono Counties will be hosting Savour the Sierra, a Farm-to-Table gourmet dinner. The five-course gourmet French Country meal will be created by celebrity Chef Pascal of Newport Beach. Pascal will be using all locally grown fruits, vegetables and meats, including Alpers trout, to create a true feast for the senses. The courses will be paired with French wines.
The event is a celebration of local foods, local farms, local businesses and schools, and the outstanding scenery of the Owens Valley and Eastern Sierra. The culinary event will be held at Apple Hill Ranch just south of Bishop, a veritable organic grocery store of fruits and vegetables where you can pick your own from the earth and the trees. After a tour of the ranch where guests will learn about local gardening from Master Gardeners, they will nibble on appetizers and listen to live music all in preparation for a dinner at tables elegantly set out in the fields of the ranch.
