South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena, Pool and Recreation Complex

Senior Center

This recreation complex is situated on 56 acres adjacent to Lake Tahoe midtown in South Lake Tahoe. The majority of the parcel is minimally developed with a campground and bike paths and is forested predominately by Jeffrey Pines. Two maintained beaches immediately across the highway, and Bijou Municipal Golf Course offer more open space.

Recreational Opportunities

The Recreation Complex consisting of 25 yard pool, gymnasium, weight room, gymnasium and playground and outside play areas have been used by generations.

The NHL sized Ice Arena is a state-of-the-art facility used by most forms of ice sport participants. Join a hockey league, get an ice skating lesson, or just come to open skate night to get a snack at the bar and watch the skaters.

The site used by Campground by the Lake has been providing memorable family camping experiences since the 1930's. Many families have been coming to the campground year after year for their summer vacation as a family tradition.

In addition to the active recreation, this site also features the El Dorado County Library, South Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum, and the City of South Lake Tahoe Senior Center.

Seasons Accessible

South Lake Tahoe is known as America's all year playground for good reason. Campground by the Lake and Bijou Golf Course is open early spring through late fall. All other facilities are open year round.
