Recreational Opportunities

The Recreation Complex consisting of 25 yard pool, gymnasium, weight room, gymnasium and playground and outside play areas have been used by generations.

The NHL sized Ice Arena is a state-of-the-art facility used by most forms of ice sport participants. Join a hockey league, get an ice skating lesson, or just come to open skate night to get a snack at the bar and watch the skaters.

The site used by Campground by the Lake has been providing memorable family camping experiences since the 1930's. Many families have been coming to the campground year after year for their summer vacation as a family tradition.

In addition to the active recreation, this site also features the El Dorado County Library, South Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum, and the City of South Lake Tahoe Senior Center.

Just wanted to let folks know that there is curling at the Ice Arena! It's friendly, social, challenging, and fun! The Lake Tahoe Epic curling club (LTEC) hosts year-round league play, learn-to-curl sessions, corporate team building events, school field trip science/physics/sports-related sessions, and more. We're curling there most Sunday evenings; come see what we're up to. Check us out on our website for more info: Good curling!
