Spellbinder is a favorite with both locals and visitors. We carry a wide range of local interest titles, fiction, non-fiction and children's books. We also have cards, calendars and gifts. We feature the "Indie Bestseller List" titles at 20% off. Black Sheep Espresso Bar, located behind our shop, features the best coffee -- roasted in-house! -- in the eastern Sierra.

Spellbinder Books is an independent, locally owned bookstore and as such is a part of what makes Bishop unique. We feature friendly, knowledgeable staff, comfortable seating to hang out and browse in, and as wide of a selection of titles as we can fit in the store!

We are located in beautiful downtown Bishop at Main & Line, next door to the Rowells' Mountain Light Gallery.

Seasons Open: year-round

All aisles are 3 ft. wide; no stairs; one ramp between coffee bar and bookstore. Wheelchair accessible restroom available upon request.

Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome in the bookstore portion of the store. Due to Health Department guidelines, we cannot permit dogs in the espresso bar area. Also, out of respect for other shoppers, dogs MUST be on leash and with you while in the store. Come and ask for a dog treat at the counter!
