The Cub Inn B&B

The Cub Inn B&B

The Cub Inn is located in the quaint town of Groveland, California. The Inn is just off Highway 120, which is one of the main routes to the Northern entrance to Yosemite National Park (which is just 25 miles from our front door).

At the end of the day, after exploring one of the amazing sites of Yosemite National Park or after just spending your day strolling through the charming town of Groveland and surrounding areas of interest, we invite you to join us in our living room. We encourage you to kick off your shoes, put your feet up on the coffee table (a must!) and enjoy a glass of wine as well as a little snack. We are anything but formal here.

This is the experience you'll have when you stay at The Cub Inn!

The Cub Inn currently features three guest rooms – each with its own warm and inviting decor and a cozy quilt on each bed. Each room has a queen-size bed with its own private bathroom and shower. The Inn has a large library for those folks who prefer spending a leisurely day on the expansive deck reading a good book, soaking up some sunshine and taking in the beauty that surrounds the Inn.

We have high speed, wireless Internet service available at the Inn, but we have chosen not to provide televisions or phones in our guest rooms. We don't want to detract from the beauty and serenity of these magnificent mountains.

Bed and Breakfast Style

The Cub Inn opened in April 2009, and is a life-long dream of husband and wife team Charleen Beam and Joe Riley. Both Southern California natives, Charleen, a UC Berkeley graduate and 20-year veteran in sales and marketing, is a licensed pilot who flies a Piper Cub and Joe is a retired mechanical engineer and a commercial-rated pilot who has flown for many years, both in the military and as a private citizen. Ask him some time about his helicopter experiences in Vietnam…

Our dream was to build a log cabin and turn it into a Bed & Breakfast. But we wanted to offer something unique – not just your typical B&B! Our mission was to create an informal atmosphere in which our guests would feel comfortable enough to put their feet on the furniture, as if they were in their own home, and take in the beautiful nature and peacefulness that surrounds our three-acre setting.
