The Valhalla Grand Hall, Valhalla Boat House Theatre and Valhalla Twin Cabins are all part of the historic Tahoe Tallac Site which dates back to the early 1900s. Overflowing with history and native culture, the setting of this special place along the shoreline of South Lake Tahoe is a sanctuary for history and culture buffs as well as pedestrians and cyclists.

The Valhalla Boat House Theatre, home to several wooden boats dating back to the early 20th century, provides an unparalleled setting for live music, plays, children's productions and public meetings. The Twin Cabins, once served as the maid quarters for the property, now houses the Cultural Arts Store and the popular Artist In Residence series. The Valhalla Grand Hall was originally the summer home of the pioneer Heller family dating back to the 1920s, and is now a community focal point for weddings, winemaker dinners, holiday fairs and fundraiser sites for other local non-profit organizations.

The Tahoe Tallac Association is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide cultural art programs for the local community and to work with the U. S. Forest Service to raise money for continual preservation of the Tallac Historic Site.

The Valhalla Cultural Arts and Music Festival held at the site each summer provides the local community and visitors a chance to step back in time to enjoy a variety of music, theatre and visual and performing arts programs that has shaped the fabric of South Lake Tahoe during the 20th century and today.
