Nestled in the lovely Coloma Valley in El Dorado County's Sierra foothills, across the highway from the South Fork of the American River is the Venezio Vineyards & Winery. Driving over a fragment of the original historic Highway 49, visitors to Venezio pass rows of vines through an alley of mature oak trees as they enter the winery. Visiting tasters usually find a Venezio family member on site to greet them with a warm smile and personal attention.

Venezio is committed to producing wines of the highest quality at reasonable prices. Most of each step in the wine making process is done at the winery. They start by growing the majority of the grapes they use in their family vineyards. After they pick and crush the grapes, the grapes are fermented in French and American Oak barrels in a temperature-controlled environment, right behind the tasting room.
