Event Dates: July 08, 2011

Description of Event

The Sixth Annual Wine, Art and Music Summer Social (WAM) is an evening event in the heart of this Gold Rush town in Amador County. It brings together local vintners, artists, crafters and musicians to share with everyone the finer things in life! From 5:30 - 8:30 in the evening.

Herb Boxhorn and Friends will be performing live music for 2011.

Locals and folks far and wide, gather to taste regional wines and enjoy meeting old and new friends in the informal evening atmosphere. Last year, 17 wineries, some from the famous Shenandoah Valley, brought special vintages. Some of these wines are not readily available in stores.

Painters, potters, photographers, gourd carvers and jewelry makers display and sell their work. Some give demonstrations - Sandy at Country Living spins yarn in front of her shop and talks about the process. Easy listening music fills the air.

At WAM, everyone steps back in time to relax and enjoy the evening and revel in the untouched architectural heritage of historic Amador City. Many shops stay open late.

The City of Amador City is the smallest incorporated city in California. It has an active city government; five member City Council, City Clerk and City Treasurer. WAM is sponsored by the Amador City Merchants' Association G.O.L.D.P.A.N. (Group Of Local Dealers for the Preservation of Amador's Nature).

From 5:30 - 8:30 in the evening, come join us for a relaxing country evening in the historic foothills of the Sierra Nevada!.

Admission Fee (if any): There is a $15 cost per wine tasting glass.
