Special Event Wine Dinner Series: Quaffing the Coast
We make wine tasting throughout California easy by bringing the wines from specific regions right to Groveland! We just love wine-dinners and this series is titled: Quaffing the Coast where we pair owner-chef, Victor's, great menus with our favorite Sommelier, Nicole Darracq's, top selections from each of five Coastal Counties: Mendocino, Sonoma, Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Louis Obispo! Wines are available for post event purchase and favorites end up on our wine list and on rotation in our tasting room.
Quaffing the Coast remaining dates in 2010 are as follows (All The third Sunday of the month) • Wines from Monterey: March 21st • Wines from San Louis Obispo: April 18th
There will be lots of new wine-theory mixed with our fun at the coming dinners! The menus and wines change with each paring, here is a sample menu from a recent wine dinner:
Roasted Red Pepper bruchetta appetizer Paired with Brutocao Cellars Bliss Schoolhouse Red Heart of palm and artichoke heart salad Paired with Frey Vineyards Organic 2008 Sauvignon Blanc Pasta with shrimp and a hint of Lemon Paired Parducci Cellars 2007 Chardonnay Filet Mignon with a kalamata & blue cheese dressing Paired with McDowell Family Vineyards Shiraz Crème Brulée for dessert Paired with Lolonis Cuvee Lorrane
