Located in the heart of Sequoia National Park, the Wuksachi Village and Lodge is the newest and most modern lodging complex in California's oldest National Park.  Built in 1999 and beautifully crafted of cedar and stone, the 102-room lodge provides guests with luxurious accommodations in a spectacular mountain forest setting.

The Wuksachi Village and Lodge features 102 spacious guestrooms, a full-service restaurant and cocktail lounge, 1,320 square feet of dedicated meeting/event space, gift shop, ski shop (seasonal), and complimentary wireless Internet access.  Guestrooms are available in standard, deluxe, and superior categories, and feature comfortable beds with down feather pillows and comforter, private bathroom, cable TV, mini-refrigerator, iron/board, hair dryer, coffee maker, ski rack, and central heat.

One of the highlights of Wuksachi Lodge is the 90-seat Wuksachi Dining Room, featuring soaring windows with views of the surrounding forest and a massive stone fireplace.  Offering everything from hearty sandwiches to full buffets to fine Sierra alpine cuisine, there's something to please every palate.  The dining room is open 365 days a year for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and even features special holiday menus.

Wuksachi Lodge is located just minutes away from the major sights in Sequoia National Park, including the star attraction, the General Sherman Tree, which means less time spent in the car and more time to explore. Sequoia National Park is home to over 800 miles of hiking trails ranging from easy to strenuous, which can double in the winter time as cross-country ski or snowshoe trails.  Cave tours, sightseeing tours, and horseback riding are available nearby.

From Northern California:

Take Highway 99 south to Fresno, then take Highway 180 east all the way to the park entrance.  Once inside, turn right at the "Y" to go to Sequoia.  The road to the lodge is well marked and will be on your left side approximately 45 minutes from the park entrance.  (Note: the road south to Wuksachi from the Highway 180 entrance closes periodically during the winter months after heavy storms.  Winter visitors may need to continue south on Highway 99 and follow the directions below in order to reach Wuksachi).

From Southern California:

Take Highway 99 north to Visalia, then take Highway 198 east all the way to the park entrance.  The road to the lodge is well marked and will be on your right side approximately 45 minutes from the entrance, after passing Lodgepole Visitor Center.

All Visitors:

• There is a $20 entrance fee per vehicle collected at the gate, or $10 per biker/hiker.
• There are no gas stations within Sequoia National Park, so it is best to enter the park on a full tank of gas.
• Sequoia is home to black bears which are active year-round.  Be "bear aware" and remove any food or scented items from your vehicle when you park.
• During the winter months, snow chains must be carried in ALL VEHICLES entering the park, as they may become mandatory at any time.
• It is strongly recommended to check current road and weather conditions before entering the park by calling (559) 565-3341.

Long before the green movement became a trend, Wuksachi Lodge has been dedicated to preserving the environment and minimizing our impact on natural resources.  We are ISO-14001 certified, and some of the things we do to promote environmental responsibility are:

• Recycling
• Using motion detectors to conserve lighting energy
• Using hybrid and electric vehicles
• Minimal outdoor lighting around the property
• Using hand dryers in our restrooms instead of paper towels
• Using bulk dispensers for things such as breakfast cereals, sugar, salt, pepper, etc, rather than individual packets or containers
• Waterless urinals in the men's room to conserve water
• Using organic and sustainable products in retail and food and beverage

Our parent company, Delaware North Companies, also has an environmental management system called GreenPath.  This is a formal documented environmental preservation plan that covers just about everything we could think of to preserve and protect our natural resources. 

Wuksachi Lodge even earned a Star of the Industry Award in Good Earthkeeping from the California Hotel & Lodging Association!
