- The Big Trees Tram Tour is available on a first-come first-served basis only at the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. Reservations are not available.
Reservations can be made for most, but not all Yosemite tours. Same day reservations may be available depending on space. In the summer, advance reservations are recommended.
Types of Experiences and Trips Provided
Valley Floor Tour - On this year-round, two-hour tour, Rangers introduce some of Yosemite’s most famous sightseeing points in Yosemite Valley and describe the history, geology, plant and animal life of the region. Open-air trams operate from late spring through early fall. From late October through April, you can ride in an enclosed and heated motor coach. The Valley Floor Tour has a new supplemental audio tour available for no additional charge to guests who would prefer to listen to the tour in Spanish.
Glacier Point Tour - The Glacier Point Tour is a spectacular four-hour round-trip journey that takes you from the valley to Glacier Point, which towers 3,200 feet above the valley floor and offers panoramic views of Yosemite Falls, Nevada and Vernal Falls, as well as the magnificent High Sierra in the distance. Glacier Point tours also offers a one-way ticket for adventurers wishing to hike down on their own. This tour operates from late spring to early fall, conditions permitting.
Grand Tour - The full-day Yosemite Grand Tour combines the Valley Floor Tour, Big Trees Tram and Glacier Point Tours into one. Bring your camera and lots of film for some breathtaking views as you explore the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias and Glacier Point.
Tuolumne Meadows Tour - An all-day adventure to the best kept secret in Yosemite: Tuolumne Meadows! Wild flowers, breathtaking vistas, granite domes and peaks, and hundreds of miles of hiking trails await you. The Tuolumne Meadows Hikers Bus is also a popular option for backpackers and day-hikers who want to hike from Tuolumne Meadows back down into the Valley, as well as for guests who want to see this remarkable area without having to drive themselves.
Big Trees Tram Tour - The Big Trees Tram Tour is a fascinating audio tour of the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. Share the wonder of this ancient and beautiful grove as you hear about the history these magnificent trees have seen. This Yosemite audio tour is available in English, French, Spanish, Japanese and German.
Moonlight Tour - Following the same route as the Valley Floor Tour, participants ride in an open-air “green dragon” tram under the glow of a full moon. These two-hour Yosemite night tours take place during the full-moon from May through October, conditions permitting
Stargazing Tour - This night tour begins with a guided bus tour to Glacier Point, on which you will learn about Yosemite's diverse natural and cultural history. At Glacier Point, you will have time to enjoy the breathtaking panoramas of Yosemite Falls, Nevada and Vernal Falls, and Half Dome, before the climax of the evening - an exciting 1-hour astronomy program under the stars.

All tours are wheelchair accessible, but advance notice is required. A sign interpreter is available year-round with at least two week’s advance notice.
Pet Friendly Notes
All bus tours, lodging and restaurants within Yosemite National Park do not allow pets. In Yosemite, pets are allowed on fully paved trails and roads, on a leash six feet or shorter, and cannot be left unattended.
