Yosemite Theater

The Yosemite Theater is run by Yosemite National Park's non-profit Yosemite Conservancy with help from concessionaire Delaware North Companies and the National Park Service.

Yosemite Theater offers a variety of live programs that bring the park’s history, people and landscapes to life.  Summertime live performances of Yosemite subjects are featured. This is the main venue for famed actor Lee Stetson's masterful portrayals of John Muir. Lee does several different one-man Muir shows and all of them are captivating. Lee was extensively featured in the Ken Burns documentary, "America's Best Idea."

Climbing legend Ron Kauk has been a very popular theater presenter in recent years, with his presentation of "Return to Balance." Shelton Johnson, recently featured on "Oprah" brings an important message about who Yosemite is for. The Yosemite Theater is located behind the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center in Yosemite Village.
