Now in its seventh year, Music on the Beach is a free music series that kicks off the first Friday in July and runs through the end of August at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Music on the Beach has become a community favorite on Lake Tahoe's North Shore.
With beautiful Lake Tahoe and the warm breeze, the venue couldn't be better. Music lovers flock to the beach, set up their beach chairs, lay out a picnic, then enjoy great sounds while anticipating a breathtaking sunset and admiring the skills of para gliders flying over the lake. The music line up consists of local favorites, plus a few new names from around the Northern California region. After the first set, the dancing starts, with the kids leading the jam session!
Kings Beach State Recreation Area offers the largest sandy span of public beach in the North Lake Tahoe area, so there's lots of room to spread out, meet with friends, and sip on a cool beverage while enjoying the great sounds of Music on the Beach.
