Animal Film Festival

Animal Film Festival (AFF) is a production of the Center for Animal Protection & Education (CAPE) a Grass Valley based non-profit animal sanctuary.  While the sanctuary is home to rescued special needs burros, farmed and companion animals, the Animal Film Festival is part of CAPE's education mission.

The second annual Animal Film Festival will take place at The Center for the Arts in downtown Grass Valley on February 28, 2015.  Doors open at 10:00 am.  Besides showcasing films featuring issues animals face in the world today, the festival will also host a wine and vegan chocolate event along with a silent auction.

Tickets for the festival are currently on sale.  The festival seeks to explore topics about companion animals, wildlife, animals in entertainment, farming, and laboratories.  This years films highlight ways our society both celebrates or abuses our relationships with non humans.  Animal Film Festival aims to entertain audiences and to propel them into action to change their own lives as well as the animals effected.
