Horton Iris Garden

Horton Iris Garden is a privately-owned garden open to the public in April and May for the iris bloom season.

Iris are labeled with over 1,200 varieties available for purchase. The property has remained in the family for 150 years and evolved from gold mining, cattle ranching, fruit farming and presently, the iris farm.

Granite outcroppings (Penryn Plume area) are dotted throughout the gardens. The forty acres is abundant with wildlife, native oaks, and historic features. Definitely a destination visit for the day or during one one of our many events. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the picnic areas.

We are open Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 10 am to 6 pm in April and May.
If you'd like to visit another day, please call us at (916) 652-4351 for a private visit.
