Movies in the Park in Gardnerville

The Town of Gardnerville hosts "Movies in the Park" each summer at Heritage Park in downtown Gardnerville. The park is surrounded by the foothills of the Sierra Nevada on the west side and the Pinenut Mountains on the East. If you have time before the movie take a hike to the Martin Slough Trail area or if you have a Nevada fishing license the Martin Slough offers urban fishing, all within a one block distance from the park. Gardnerville offers the only movies in the park in the Carson Valley and within a 40 mile radius. These movies offer a great way to enjoy the outdoors, watch varying genres of movies and hang out with your friends and neighbors all for free. What could be better than watching a movie under the stars in such beautiful surroundings. Four movies are shown each season starting in June and ending in August. These movies are shown for family entertainment, but some may not be suitable for young children. Feel free to bring your meal or snacks  with you.  There are a limited number of vendors for food and beverages sold during each movie, some of which benefit local organizations.
