Robinson Creek Trail

Robinson Creek Trail — This is one of the most popular trails in the Bridgeport area and the beautiful subalpine views explain why! Moderately strenuous, the hike to Barney Lake is 7.8 miles, round trip, 1100' elevation). Many hikers continue on to shimmering Peeler Lake, an additional 8 miles, round trip and additional elevation gain of 1200'.

The Robinson Creek Trail begins at the end of Twin Lakes Road, located at the very North end of Bridgeport off US Hwy. 395. Twin Lakes Road ends at Mono Village, a private campground with cabins and a general store. Enter the campground and pay the backpacker fee to park your car near the beginning of the trail.

This year I’ll be starting a 10 -11 day trip from this trailhead. Did a ten day trip in 2010 clockwise over mule pass, burro pass, benson pass, seavy pass, up kerrick canyon to peeler and out. Gonna do it in reverse this September. I'm wondering how the water is gonna be in the creeks (if any).
