Located on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe near Sugar Pine State Park, the Tahoe Meadows B&B includes 16 cozy cottages with individual style and distinctive amenities to make everyone feel right at home.
Ten of our B&B cottages are designed for couples and include our delicious gourmet breakfast, four are family suites with kitchens, and two cottages are larger with 2-bedrooms. We also have two off-site rental homes for big families.
Each cottage is surrounded by huge pines and is uniquely decorated with mountain elegance including cozy down comforters. All of our cottages have private entrances and baths, many with claw foot soaking tubs. Some of our cottages also have fireplaces. We can accommodate families in our cottages with kitchens. You will find hammocks and garden furniture throughout the property for your relaxation. Guests can enjoy the view of Tahoe anytime of day in our common room and we have snacks out every day from 5-6pm.
Ulli and I have lived at Lake Tahoe full time since 1995, and are avid outdoors people along with our children. We know every inch of this mountain paradise, Lake Tahoe, and love to ski, fish, bike, hike, kayak, and paddle. We are more than happy to share our favorite places and pastimes with guests and give you inside pointers to see wildflowers in the summer, or find back country ski stashes in the winter. Just ask.
Bed and Breakfast Style
We serve a gourmet family style breakfast every morning which is included with the ten B&B cottages designed for couples in our common room. Many of our hardy breakfast recipes like our signature Creme Brulee French Toast or German Pfanna Kuchen which is different from your regular German pancakes. These are much more like a custard, and are richer. We even make our own Sticky Buns, and Frittata, and Egg and Cheese Custard Bakes with a variety of fresh seasonal ingredients like spinach and artichoke, bacon and tomato, mushroom and onion and sausage apple.
All of these recipes and more are included in our Lake Tahoe's Breakfast Secret cookbook, now in its fifth printing. You can pick one up during your stay or order it online.
Breakfast Style Served
Rather than destroying and rebuilding the historic structures dating back to the early 1900s, Ulli and I chose to rehabilitate and remodel the historic cottages focusing on energy saving and eco-friendly materials.
